Equal rights?  Equal opportunities?

Is there really an equal rights and equal opportunities to each and every men and women?

Nowadays, there have not been an equal rights and equal opportunities to every men and women. The girls or women are those who are not experiencing that equal rights and opportunities. Women have been suffering different kinds of violence. There is also this discrimination towards women and girls or what is known as gender-based discrimination is one of the most pervasive human right violations. It severely limits the ability of women and the communities they live in to protect and promote their heath.

Violence against women is never acceptable, never excusable and never tolerable. So let us now stop this violence against women. Let us join hands and work together to pursue our dreams to stop violence against us, women and girls.

Equal rights and opportunities lead to improvement heath outcomes from women and girls.

So today is the time to embrace victories and progress.

  

“GOING GLOBAL TO ENGLISH LANGUAGE”

           English is the international language which people of different races could use to understand each other. It is the language which bridges countries and continents of the world. All forms of communication, written and media, even international conference use “English” as medium. English is the penultimate highway in responding the challenge of modern world. English is without a doubt the actual universal language.

        

English can be at least understood almost everywhere among scholars and educated people, as it is the world media language, and the language of cinema, TV, pop music and the computer world. All over the planet people know many English words, their pronunciation and meaning.

       The causes for this universality are very well known and understandable. English first began to spread during the 16th century with British Empire and was strongly reinforced in 20th by USA world domination in economic, political and military aspects and by the huge influence of American movies.

        The concept of a Universal Language is more significant only now, in the era of world mass communication. Before this era Greek, Latin, French were to some extent universal languages, though mainly in Europe.

         So as a 4^th year high school student, I just want to recommend others to practice speaking in this language because this will lead us to a better future and this will help us communicate with other people most especially when we going to other country.

          So let us practice now speaking English. English is really fun.        

My father..My superman

      MY FATHER , A  GREAT PROVIDER

          I never regret having a high school graduate father who never fails to think means of earning a living for a family of six. My father, an ordinary farmer is a great provider and the hero of my life because he was always there for me anytime and anywhere.

         

As early as five o’clock in the morning, my hardworking father was going to our farm and whether our crops were in good condition. With his patient attitude, my family feels so fortunate to have a head and a hero like him.

Providing us with his basic needs is not enough for him. He fills our heart with moral lessons especially when we go wrong. He nurtures us with love and affection which a young girl like me needs. Often times, he leads us in the right way and holds our hands as we move on o reach the top. My father is a great provider of moral values for he himself has good values in life. He was also the hero of my life because he was one of my savior anytime I’m in trouble.

I really admire my understanding father. Hardships in life come our way. Trials, troubles and problems hit us but he remains to be calm and cool. He is so strong and takes them easy for according to  him, they make our life more meaningful, challenging and colorful. He provides us with numerous encouragement and inspiration to live a meaningful, peaceful and fruitful life.

A man of low education……. A person with great pride and dignity…… The hero of my life……           A family head with full source of responsibility……. He is my father, a farmer , a great provider and my hero..  I salute and love you Papa…

                                    MY  REFLECTION

                       Information and communications technology (ICT)class...


             In this second grading period, its very fun studying Information and communication technology (ICT) because we almost have blogging and also the activities about HTML tags through Notepad (Microsoft Windows).


            For this quarter, we have learned about the HTML tags and many other topics.



            This grading was very fun because of the activities, I hope that this coming grading will be more fun..

"World teachers day celebration : my teacher , my hero"

            September 5 – October 5 2013 was declared as the 2013 world teachers day celebration . This is to recognize the contribution of the teachers in the development of the country and in molding every individual in this society.

            Aside from the tedious classroom works and unending school activities which are being done 5 days  a week, teachers pay different roles . they are being hired as members of the board of election inspectors by the commission on elections during national and local elections. And although they are being paid honoraria  and given service credits, the benefits due to them may not be enough when they face problems created by bad losers in political races . They have to face charges alone and nobody could be help to them in these hard situations .

            THESE AND MANY , MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES PUT THE IVES AND HEATH OF EVERY TEACHER AT RISK BUT THEY HAVE TO COMPLY IN ORDER TO MAKE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPED AND OTHER ACTIVITIES SUCCESSFUL. INSIDE THE CLASSROOM , THE TEACHERS TEACH EVERY CHILD TO READ , WRITE AND TO BECOME A GOOD CITIZEN IN THE COUNTRY. THEY HAVE TO EXERT MUCH EFFORT AND A LOT A PATIENCE TO DO THEIR JOB. THEY WORK DURING SCHOOL HOURS AND EVEN DURING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS SACRIFICING THEIR TIME TO THEIR OWN FAMILY JUST TO FUlFilI THEIR LEARNERS SENT MISSION- TO MOLD THE YOUTH.

            IT IS THEREFORE PROPER THAT DUE RECOGNITION BE GIVEN TO TEACHERS DUE CAMPAIGN AND TEACHER’S  DAY CELEBRATION . IT MAY JUST BE A SIMPLE ACTIVITY TO BE DONE EVERY YEAR BUT THIS WILL HELP LIFT UP THEIR SPIRIT AND BOOST THEIR MORALITY.

            Everyone of us on this celebration should bear in mind that we are once school students and we have our own teachers who contributed much in our

whole being. On this day , we can say “ thank you ma’am  and sir, you are a hero to us , mabuhay kayo ”

                Make a Move Now....

                Nowadays we are experiencing different problems in our mother Earth that can damage our health.What are we doing now? Are we making a move for our environment to make it beautiful and better to live for?? Don't we know that our mother earth was crying now for help?

              
              If we want to help mother earth, there are many ways through which we all can contribute in the protection and conservation of species and keeping the earth clean. We should also try to lessen the use of natural resources so that there will be enough resources for the coming generation as well.


           
            On this day, efforts should be made to plant at least two trees. For this, various awareness programs and communities should be launched. People all over the world should hold gatherings at public parks to encourage the tree plantation ceremonies.
We should not throw garbage and waste materials outside in the open drains. It increases water pollution and also gives rise to various water borne diseases and ultimately affects the earth.

          We should lessen the usage of insecticides and pesticides in the fields as all the chemicals make the soil futile. Next thing we can do is to completely avoid the usage of plastic bags as they are extremely harmful for our environment.



         It is an opportunity for individuals, corporations & government to come forward and join hands to create a new global green economy.

     
        It is a day to think of the environmental challenges we face and how to solve them. It is the duty of all human beings and all countries to protect the earth responsibility. All together, we can make a difference on “Earth Day Birthday”. So, celebrate it with great enthusiasm and great zeal otherwise dooms day is not so far.

      So as a science clubber , I can contribute in our Mother Earth by encouraging myself to participate in the different activities to save mother earth just like planting of trees..

       

WIKA....Kaluluwa ng Lahi

       Every year we are celebrating the Month of Language.This year's   theme was "Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid". This year's national month of language aims to motivate the Filipino people to value the Filipino language by being part of the activities in relation to Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa and to encourage the different government agencies and the private sector to join programs as such that increases the language and civic awareness

            Wika...Ito ang kaluluwa ng ating lahi.Ang ating wika ay ang Wikang Filipino.Si Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos ang nagproklama kung bakit sa Buwan ng Agosto ipinagdidiriwang ang Buwan ng ating Wikang Pambansa at si Pangulong Manuel L. Quezon naman ang Ama ng Wikang Pambansa.

           Our language is very important because it is our way to communicate with  our fellow Filipinos around the world.We also use our language to let others know how we feel,what we need and to ask questions.We can modify our language for instance to each situations.

          So let's use our own language and  be proud of it.

                 

MY REFLECTION

                 ICT class….

                 For the first quarter, there are so many discoveries or  learnings  that I have learned like how to make a Gmail account and Blog through the blog spot. I also learned about the internet timeline or the history about the internetfrom 1960's up to present. I have also learned about the internet,its major components,its data types, parts of a browser and others. I also learned about blog and its types.

               In my ICT class , I have also encountered problems and challenges like I dont understand well some lessons because of many interruptions during our class in ICT in 4:00 pm-5:00 pm. The challenges that I encounter was I have difficulties about internet and computers.
         
              So inorder to catch up in my lessons , I will be asking the help of my fellow classmates and I will have a self review and search about this topic..
               

              But for my overall class in ICT,it was fun because of  the blogs that we were making.

        SONA of PNOY for 2013

       

           Every 4th Monday of July, the president of the Republic of the Philippines is delivering his/her SONA or State of the Nation Address. The objectives of this SONA is to inform us about the actions or programs that our President are doing to make our country better and also for our future.

         Last July 22, 2013 , we had witnessed the fourth State of the Nation Address of our President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino and his SONA , he had mentioned all of his projects about how to run our country better. He also mentioned about his service and what are the things he accomplished after three years.

         For me, one of his projects that I liked most is the 4P's or Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program . It's objectives is to help the less fortunate people as help for their basic needs.In PNOYS SONA , he mentioned that his objective is to expand the reach of 4P's . The 700000 household beneficiaries he found upon coming into office in 2010 have grown to almost 4 million household in the three years of his administration.

        But in his 4P's, it has also its negative results to the Filipinos who are recipients of this program like they are not now finding any job , they are only depending their life to this 4P's. Some recipients also are spending the money that they are receiving for their vices.

        So let us join him for making our country a better one.

         "Gutom at Malnutrisyon,Sama-sama Nating Wakasan"

          
                             



          Every year in the month of July, the National Nutrition Council leads the whole nation in the celebration of the 2013 Nutrition Month and this years theme is "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama nating wakasan .
         
         This nutrition month celebration of 2013 aims to lessen the average of people who are suffering from malnutrition and famine and also to encourage government sectors to be aware of implementing bill such as bills about on how to decrease the cases of famine and malnutrition.
        
         In the theme "Gutom at Malnutrition, sama-sama nating wakasan", for me this means that this malnutrition and famine is caused by poverty because nowadays, many people can't afford to eat their meals, three times a day and also sometimes students aren't eating their lunch and during breaks because they are saving this for their other needs.
          
        In this cases , we must help each other inorder to really decrease this kind of cases. So proper nutrition is anything we need to know.

Dear Mr. Aquino,

             Greetings!

              As one citizen of the Philippines  and one of the student of Ilocos Sur National High School , I wrote this letter for two reasons. One of it was I want you to know Sir that we're waiting for the progress of the Philippines and the other was about my comments about your administration .

             When you were elected as the President of the Republic of the Philippines , You had given many sayings about on how will you run our country . In this saying that you had given Sir , at present have you done these all ?
     
             Mr. President , you are saying that there is a big progress in our economy in the Philippines but why is that I can't see it and i can't feel it that there's really a progress in our economy . If you think Sir that there's really a progress in our country , why is it that there are so many Filipinos that doesn't have any occupation and also the others are going in the other country just to have occupation and to make their lives better .

             For me , as a student and citizen of the Philippines , I want that I can really feel and so with the other Filipinos the essence of progress in our country .

             Sir , I wrote all of this things not for my own good and for your embarassment but for the good of the Filipinos . I wrote also this Sir bacause I have my right to express my feelings and comments about our country and your administration . I am just one of the concern citizen of the Philippines Sir and I know that we all want for the improvement of our country .
